An altercation between two young men yesterday even-ing resulted in one being transported to the Rand Memorial Hospital after suffering from a gunshot wound.
The incident occurred at Cora’s Place on Sergeant Major Drive.
Though there was little details on the incident, eyewitnesses in the area said that the victim, who was known as “Dice” was seen arguing with another man before a gunshot was heard and the victim was seen lying on the ground.
Efforts were made to revive the victim who was transported to the Rand Memorial Hospital. According to the police, the victim succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
Superintendent Macktavaus Daniels said police were unclear about the details surrounding the shooting but added that it involved two young black males.
