Several pastors have expressed outraged after the robbery of Bishop Elkin Symonette and his wife Irene on Monday.
However, based on the level of violence in the country, some of the pastors said they are not surprised that crime has reached the doorsteps of churches.
Their comments came after two armed robbers threatened to kill the Symonettes at their Ebenezer Mission Baptist Church, Charles Vincent Street, on Monday night.
New Covenant Baptist Church Senior Pastor Bishop Simeon Hall yesterday labeled the attack a”total disgrace.”
He said it is clear a group of persons exist in the country who have no regard for laws, human life or property. They must be dealt with by any means necessary, said Hall.
