MARBELLA – THE court in Marbella is considering whether to send a formal request (letter rogatory) to the Bahamas after Sean Connery failed to show up in court. Actor Sean Connery failed to attend the Marbella Court last week citing age and unspecified health concerns in a fax.
The 80-year-old actor and his wife – who lives in the Bahamas – were called to give evidence in the ‘Goldfinger’ corruption investigation involving suspected irregularities in the sale of their Marbella villa in 1999 that was later developed into an apartment complex.
Sean Connery had recently sent a letter to judge Ricardo Puyol threatening legal action for naming him publicly because of the negative effect on his public image.
