A store owner was shot multiple times in the head during an armed robbery of his convenience store on Firetrail Road West on Sunday evening.
A second man was robbed and shot but has survived.
Shopowner Joseph Tynes and the other victim were sitting outside Mr Tynes convenience store around 5:00pm Sunday when the gunman approached.
The robber stole cash and jewelery before shooting Mr Tynes in the head. He escaped on foot.
Mr Tynes’ death was the 73rd murder for the year in The Bahamas.
