A witness identified Raphael Neymour as the man who shot and killed a nightclub security guard nearly three years ago.
Neymour, nicknamed “Mad”, is on trial for the August 30, 2007 murder of Cocktails and Dreams security guard Huel Charles Ferguson.
Ferguson’s co-worker, Jason Romer, testified that a tall, dark skinned man in a white T-shirt and blue jeans with his hair cornrowed back, pulled up to the club’s entrance around 1 a.m. in a white van.
Romer said he attended an identification parade the following day and picked out a man who was dressed like the man who killed his boss.
In response to questions from defense lawyer Wayne Munroe, Romer agreed that the man whom he selected was the only person on the line-up who wore a white T-shirt and blue jeans. Romer also said the other men on the line-up were not of similar height to the person he selected, neither did they have cornrows.
