Henchmen allegedly associated with drug thug Lynden “Dodo” Bethel Sr kidnapped a woman outside a West Bay Street stripclub on Monday night.
The Tribune newspaper reports in a headline article that the incident was first reported by the girl’s boyfriend but the story was later confirmed by other witnesses.
The woman was apparently nabbed by three of Dodo’s “family members” at the “Magic City” strip club. Witnesses say she was stuffed into a dark-grey, four-door Honda Accord with chrome rims. The license plate of the vehicle is not known.
The vehicle was last seen heading east on Bay Street.
Neither the woman, or the man she entered the club with, have been seen since.
Police are apparently concerned enough to be considering protection for the five people who were arrested in connection with the stabbing death of the drug thug’s 18 year-old son at an East Bay Street nightclub over the halloween weekend.
Dodo’s son, 20-year-old Lynden Bethel Jr, was stabbed on Sunday night outside Club Illusions on East Bay Street. He was taken to the hospital but died shortly after. Police believe this latest incident could be connected.
Later that evening, firefighters were called to put out two separate fires at the club. The fires are believed to have been started by arsonists using Molotov cocktails.
Crime in The Bahamas has reached a crisis level with murders, armed robberies and rapes occurring at unprecedented levels.
Some think the situation has spiralled out of control with government powerless to stop the escalation of violent crime in the once peaceful islands.
Drug thugs are taking the streets of Nassau and many Bahamians are concerned that the Bahamas has turned into a mini-Jamaica, where drug lords rule the country.
