A fire caused extensive damage to Magic City, the strip club located in the Westridge Shopping Plaza. The fire occurred at about 5:25am on Tuesday morning and is believed to have been the result of an arson attack.
The upper level of the club was severely damaged by the fire and the lower level by water. It has been reported that a hole was discovered in the roof through which it is believed the arsonist poured flammable liquid.
Other entities in the plaza received smoke damage and were affected by fumes. The Westridge Shopping Plaza is owned by Rupert Roberts who also owns the Super Value food store chain. The Plaza is insured with Cole Insurance, though Magic City – occupied by Craig Wells – was not insured.
It is suspected that this arson attack may be related an arson attack earlier this month at Club Illusions.
