Max Taylor’s ‘Jazzblutings’ Exhibition Opening At Doongalik

Max Taylor, one of the Bahamas’ Master Artists has been busy this season and is proud to open his second solo Art Exhibition of new acrylic paintings on paper entitled “Jazzblutings” at Doongalik Studios Marina Village at Paradise Island next Wednesday evening from 6-9 pm.

Having just exhibited a large collection of previous works over the summer entitled “Remnants” at the Doongalik Gallery on Village Road, the artist is now showing a collection of smaller paintings that reflect his love for jazz and blues music as well as record snippets of Bahamian life and the people.

The artist stated, “In producing this artwork I challenged myself to use my creativity in a different way by letting the colors of the paint and my paint brush guide my hand based purely on my feelings for these themes” and you can definitely feel that rhythm and love in the lines and colors of the paintings.

“What an absolutely fertile season this has been for fine art in the country”, stated Doongalik Manager Pam Burnside.

“There are so many art exhibitions happening – it bodes well for the country’s future that the art community is embracing this important medium as a means of expression which also acknowledges the growth and maturity of the country. We look forward to seeing many of Max’s fans out next week and hope to encourage others, Bahamian and visitors alike to come out and view the Exhibition – you are in for a treat!”
