Murder is not the only way Bahamians are dying prematurely.
Statistics revealed by an official at the Road Traffic Department indicate that over 1,000 traffic accidents, including six deaths, have been recorded so far this year on Grand Bahama.
Basil Rahming, Deputy Controller of Road Traffic, reported that 1,046 accidents have occurred this year on the island.
The trigbune reports that Mr Rahming also said that a total of 38 fatal accidents have occurred so far this year in the Bahamas, six of those on Grand Bahama.
