The Ministry of Public Works and Transport wishes to advise the public that road works will be carried out on sections of Robinson Road between Eighth Street and East Street to facilitate the installation of a new 12-inch water-main pipe during the following weekends commencing November 6th,13th and 20th, 2010 between the hours of 7 p.m. Friday and re-opening by Monday 5 a.m.
Businesses and Residents in the vicinity are advised that as a result of these works water supply may be interrupted.
Motorists are advised to drive with caution as heavy equipment will be in operation. Local access to Robinson Road and East Street will be provided via Eighth Street to businesses in the immediate area including: Footsy’s, Checkers Cafe, John Chea Food Store, Alleage Boutique and Portion Control.
Motorists travelling eastbound and westbound should divert on the specified routes namely: access through Eighth Street onto Robinson Road via Palm Tree Avenue from East Street. Detours will be clearly marked to allow for the safety of pedestrians and motorists.
