Grand Bahama Cruise Port Project Not Going As Planned

The Cruise Port project proposed for the Williams Town area is not going as well as planned admitted Prime Minister Hubert Ingraham, more than a year after it was initially announced.

Ingraham stated that the project “is not going as well as expected.”

Since the announcement for the Cruise Port was made the government was said to be taking steps to have the plans approved by Cabinet, and have the finer legal nuances worked out, but that was back in September 2009.

Residents had questioned if the project was still on the drawing board since no information had been provided to indicate its progress and numerous attempts to obtain information from Members of Parliament on the issue were unsuccessful.
