An Eight Mile Rock couple was held at gunpoint, tied up and robbed early Tuesday morning after bandits broke into their home and made off with an undetermined amount of cash.
According to police reports, a resident of Bartlett Hill summoned police officers to her residence where the front door of her home was kicked in.
She reported that she, along with her husband were robbed by two men armed with a handgun at 3:45 a.m. Tuesday morning.
Preliminary reports are that one of the bandits restrained the male victim with cords after hitting him on the head with the gun and robbed the couple of cash before making their escape.
One of the culprits was described as being a dark male, slim built and short, wearing dark clothing with a scarf covering his face and carrying a handgun. The second man was only described as being tall.
While police investigations are continuing in the matter, the police are appealing to those persons who were in the area and noted these men or have any information that would assist in bringing closure to this matter, to call 350-3107/8, 348-3444/5/6 or 911.
