Bahamian Contractors Association (BCA) executives, speaking yesterday at the signing ceremony for a $225,000 project to strengthen their organisation and the overall industry, described the $400 million worth of Baha Mar construction work reserved for local companies/tradesmen as “one of the greatest opportunities we have”.
Stephen Wrinkle, the BCA’s president, said this arrangement, negotiated by Prime Minister Hubert Ingraham with the Chinese government, would “take all the resources of the industry to prepare contractors and tradesmen” to participate and do the job correctly.
