Nassau Motor Company is bracing for a “huge negative impact” on its sales levels resulting from the total elimination of its Honda inventory due to manufacturing cutbacks by the car maker in earthquake-stricken Japan.
The auto dealer was advised that as of April 15, Honda Motor Company’s manufacturing output would be down by 50 per cent for an estimated 90 days.
Rick Lowe, director & operations manager for the Nassau Motor Company, said sales could be off by 50 per cent if the worse case scenario comes to fruition.
