Legendary Bahamian entertainer, Jay Mitchell, is set to perform the opening act for the funk and disco band T-Connection on Friday, May 27th. The concert is part of the St. Augustines College Class (SAC) of 1971’s 40th anniversary reunion initiative to assist the school’s capital needs project.
The concert, which will be held at the Wyndham Crystal Ballroom, is expected to offer fans a memorable experience as one of the best in Bahamian music opens for the most soulful and talented world renowned band to ever enter into the Bahamian music scene.
Starting his musical career at age 13, Mitchell blossomed to be a musical ambassador of The Bahamas, taking his music to higher heights from performances across the country to the United States and Canada, winning numerous local awards for best album, best song, entertainer of the year, best ballad, album of the year and best contemporary album. His songs reigned versatile performing calypso, gospel and other music genres.
