Search For Missing Grand Bahama Woman Continues

Rowena Poitier flew in from Los Angeles this weekend to join her family as they continue their intense search for missing 20-year-old Krishanna Higgs.

Poitier, aunt of the missing mother of two, gathered with family and friends downtown Saturday morning to distribute flyers of the young woman, who has not been seen by her immediate family since January 12.

Speaking with media before heading to the intersection of Pioneer’s Way and The Mall Drive, Poitier said that her family will not give up their search until they find the missing young mother.

Krishanna reportedly left Nassau on January 12 with her three-year-old daughter at the request of the father of her two year old and was expected back home the following week.

Krishanna’s father, spoke publicly for the first time Saturday and asked anyone with information leading to the safe return of his daughter to please contact police or her family.

He too recalled texting his daughter’s phone to learn of her location; however, he added that the response he received was unlike her usual communication.

The group all agreed that this kind of behavior is “so unlike” their relative. “She would have already called to at least find out about her children,” Poitier added. “When it comes to those two little girls, nothing would stop her from being a parent to them.”
