Bahamas Telecommunications Company (BTC) employees on a number of Family Islands received voluntary separation package offers yesterday, nearly three months after the former state telecommunications company was privatized.
However, many staff members on New Providence and Grand Bahama are still waiting on their offers.
They were supposed to be sent out on Monday, but BTC claimed the offers were delayed in order to clarify employees’ pension figures.
Employees on Andros, Eleuthera, Inagua and Long Island received their offers early Wednesday.
Other staff members are supposed to get their offers before the end of the week.
