A police sergeant remains at work while the Complaints and Corruption Branch investigates a claim that he allegedly tried to extort $400 from a woman following a traffic accident.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Quinn McCartney, who is responsible for force discipline, told The Nassau Guardian that a decision on whether the officer will face disciplinary charges will be made this week.
McCartney said the officer could possibly face internal disciplinary charges or charges in a criminal court.
