Shopkeeper Lewis Ramsey, 64, and his 33-year-old son Lamon were shot in a horrifying armed robbery at Ramsey’s Snack Shop on Croton Street, Pinewood Gardens. The shooting occurred around 10:30pm on Thursday.
Two men in sunglasses and dark hooded sweatshirts, burst in and threatened Mr. Ramsey with a handgun. They grabbed the chain around his neck and then shot him in the mouth and torso. Lamon was shot in the groin when he attempted to help his father.
The father is in critical condition, while his son was stable.
