A 23-year-old woman and her boyfriend have been formally charged with the hit-and-run murder of the woman’s ex-lover.
The death of 23-year-old Markenson Justin, who initially appeared to be the victim of a hit and run accident, has now been classified as murder. Police have charged Coletor Johnson and 32-year-old Glinton Louis, both of whom will spend the next three months at Her Majesty’s Prison until their preliminary inquiry (PI).
According to police, officers from the Central Detective Unit and the Traffic Department were called to the scene of the accident on Explorer’s Way near East Atlantic Drive around 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 12.
They were not required to enter a plea to the charge and, after their lawyer made a request for bail, the magistrate advised the couple that she had no jurisdiction to grant bail, but they could make an application to the Supreme Court.
