Neil Percentie, 35, a community leader in Union Village, was shot to death yesterday in Fox Hill.
Mr Percentie died Wednesday night in front of the Fox Hill Police Station, where he was taken after being shot multiple times while in the back seat of his cousin’s vehicle.
His death was the 93rd death in 2011 for the Bahamas, one short of the record 94 murders recorded in the entire year of 2010.
According to police, the shooting occurred at about 11:30pm on Reeves Street while Percentie was travelling with three females and another male in his cousin’s car.
Someone apparently fired into their vehicle, hitting Mr Percentie multiple times. Police said he was sitting in the rear of the vehicle.
