A magistrate has once again delayed the decision in the drug and firearms possession case of Melvin Maycock Sr.
Deputy Chief Magistrate Carolita Bethell was originally scheduled to give a decision in the case over a year ago on August 2010. However, the decision has been postponed for various reasons since then.
The decision was delayed twice this week, and the magistrate promised to deliver her verdict on November 1.
Police launched a manhunt for Maycock following the discovery of marijuana worth $1.2 million and firearms in a rented home on Marine Drive, West Bay Street in May 2008. He was arrested a month later during a high-speed chase.
