The public is hereby advised that the lockdown status imposed upon one of the housing facilities at Her Majesty’s Prison earlier this week due to a missing key, has been lifted.
Since the incident, alternative measures are being put in place to render the missing key useless so as to ensure that the facility’s security and safety measures remain at optimum levels.
At no time was public safety threatened as a result of this incident and it is anticipated that following a formal investigation by the prison’s Internal Affairs Unit, certain officers may be required to answer charges before the institution’s Disciplinary Tribunal.
