Four armed robberies took place on Tuesday. The first happened around 10:30am on Madeira Street when the male victim was accosted as he was about to make a deposit at a bank.
In the second incident, two men held up a man and a woman outside a home on Grace Avenue near Marathon Estates at about 11:00am. The victims were robbed and forced into the bushes were they were able to gain control and disarm the gunman. The two assailants fled – gunless. The victims turned the gun in to the police.
The third incident involved a masked man entering Kathy’s Variety Store on Sea Breeze Lane and demanding cash at 2:00pm.
In the fourth armed robbery a gunman robbed Computer General in Gary’s Plaza on Robinson Road at 5:30pm.
