Tropical Storm Sean could grow into a hurricane as it moves between Bermuda and the US East Coast today (Nov. 10).
Sean’s winds may increase to 75 miles per hour by midday, the US National Hurricane Centre said in an advisory issued at 5 p.m. Bermuda time this morning.
The system’s maximum winds are now 65 mph, up from 50 mph yesterday.
But Sean will probably have weakened back to a tropical storm by the time it makes its closest point of approach to Bermuda on Friday according to the US National Hurricane Centre’s forecast track.
Sean is expected to produce one to three inches of rain on Bermuda, according to the Miami-based NHC.
