The Department of Agriculture and Fisheries is sending out a stern warning to fishermen after a local man was caught with 150 undersized conch in his possession on Monday.
Superintendent of fisheries at the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries, Clement Campbell said he was performing a routine check at the fish market in the International Bazaar at approximately 11:15 a.m. when he discovered a young man with his undersized catch.
Campbell said the man had the underdeveloped conch in a makeshift buggy.
“I had been receiving complaints about people selling juvenile conch on the corner of the fish market area,” he said.
