Dr Kevin Brown, a prominent physician in Los Angeles and the son of Dr Ewart Brown, the former premier of Bermuda, has been sentenced to 12.5 years in a California prison for sexually assaulting nearly a dozen patients.
In addition, Brown must register for life as a sex offender and had to pay over $12,000 in fines and restitution.
Deputy District Attorney Ann Marie Wise said Brown used his medical practice as “his personal playground,” and anyone entering “was his prey.”
He was found guilty in August on 21 charges related to sexual assaults on patients, including a 15-year-old and an undercover Los Angeles police officer.
