Butterfield Bank (Bahamas) Limited announced that Timothy J. Colclough has been appointed Vice President and Head of Trust and Fiduciary Services.
Mr. Colclough is returning to Butterfield, where he was previously Head of Business Development for over five years, after an absence of one year.
Originally from Jersey, Mr. Colclough has lived and worked in The Bahamas for more than 15 years. He is a Chartered Company Secretary, holds an LL.B (Hons) law degree from the University of Buckingham, is a Member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and is an Individually Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.
Mr. Colclough has held increasingly senior roles at several financial and fiduciary services companies during his career, including RBC Dominion Securities, The Bank of Nova Scotia Trust Company, SolStone Management Services, and The Winterbotham Trust Company.
Julien Martel, Managing Director of Butterfield in The Bahamas, welcomed Mr. Colclough back to the Butterfield team, saying, “Tim’s return is good news for Butterfield and for our clients. His expertise will be advantageous as we work to further develop our trust business and forge long-term, solution-focused relationships with clients and their advisers.”
Bob Moore, Butterfield Group’s Executive Vice President and Head of Group Trust, also welcomed Mr. Colclough’s return. He said, “Drawing on Tim’s knowledge and experience, we aim to further enhance the service and technical solutions we can offer our clients in The Bahamas and internationally.”
