According to the unofficial results of the 2012 Anthony “Huck” Williams New Year’s Day Junkanoo Parade in Grand Bahama, the overall winner in the ‘A’ division was the Superstar Rockers with 1,337 points.
In second was the Swingers with 1,332 points, while in third was Majestic Crusaders with 1,135 points; 4th was Kingdom Culture with 1,047 points; 5th was Classic Dan-cers with 923; and in 6th was the Bayshore Warriors with 767 points.
Overall winner in the ‘B’ Division was Harbour Boys with 770 points; second was Arawak Invaders 650 points; 3rd was Rotary Club Int’l with 583 points; 4th was Bushwhackers with 435 points; and in 5th was Sting with 420 points.
These results were given by the Grand Bahama Junkanoo Committee during a press conference on Wednesday morning. It was noted that it would take another 48 hours before the official results will be sent.
Chauncy Gray, Leader of the Superstar Rockers said they felt the parade was judged fairly, noting that they did a lot of hard work.
