This is the terrifying moment a daring Tyneside diver looked straight into the jaws of death.
Underwater photographer Russell Easton got a close-up he didn’t bargain for when he came face-to-face with one of the world’s most dangerous animals.
The 42-year-old was forced to fend-off a tiger shark with just his camera when he came perilously close to the wrong kind of snap.
The conservationist was photographing the 12ft mammal while in the Bahama Islands with a friend.
Russell, a professional underwater photographer from West Allotment in North Tyneside, said: “I was looking through the view finder of the camera when I suddenly saw this huge mouth and teeth.
