The Bahamas Tourist Office has found 16 couples from around the UK to get married simultaneously on the 16 different islands that make up the Caribbean nation.
All of the brides and grooms will say their vows at 16:00 local time on 16 May this year.
Couples across Britain uploaded photos and videos saying why they deserved to win a free island wedding and were asked to choose from different locations in the region.
Applicants also had to identify a particular style for their day, from ‘barefoot-on-the-beach’ ceremonies to tying the knot on the ocean floor, with dolphins in attendance.
Members of the public cast thousands of votes for their favourite contenders and the winners include Claire Gordon and Jason Harris from north Wales, who will wed on Nassau, and Mary Gleeson and James Potter from Dover, who will have their big day on Grand Bahama Island.
As well as having their wedding in the Caribbean, the couples will receive designer attire for the day and rings up to the value of £500.
