The $20 million proposed Lyford Corporate Centre is expected to focus on high-end financial and professional service firms, according to its President Mike Klonaris.
These include private banks and trust companies, attorneys, accountants, insurance companies and investment advisors.
Klonaris told Guardian Business that he has witnessed steady growth and development in Lyford Cay, particularly in the area of financial services and professional institutions.
He noted that the center is a joint venture between him and two other principals.
Together, they have acquired 3.5 acres of land on the Western Road near Lyford Cay and Old Fort Bay, to develop the Class A executive offices.
“The center will comprise 61,000 square feet of executive office premises that will be for sale or rent. I have found that many institutions, particularly those which intend to enjoy a longer term presence, are more inclined to purchase premises than rent as they have done in the past,” Klonaris shared.
