Hundreds of passengers aboard the Port-Canaveral-based Carnival Sensation are headed toward the Bahamas after a broken water pipe caused the cruise ship to be delayed for several hours.
The 2,000-passenger ship departed the port about 9:30 p.m. Thursday night, hours after passengers were allowed to return and after crews worked to clean up several cabins impacted by flooding.
