The eyes of the region will be on The Bahamas, on the evening of Saturday, 25th February 2012, 6:30 p.m, for the official opening and public unveiling of the newly constructed Thomas A. Robinson National Stadium, a 15,000-seat, world-class sporting venue, that was a gift to the people of The Bahamas from the People’s Republic of China. The public is invited to attend. Please note that there will be “open seating”, assigned on a “first come, first served basis”.
Gates will open at 3:00 p.m. and the ceremony will begin at 6:30 p.m. Spectators are urged to be seated by 6:00 p.m. There will also be a food pavilion on site, offering food for purchase.
