Masked, Armed Robbers Ransack High School

Four masked armed robbers ransacked C.V. Bethel Senior High School, destroying property and leaving two security guards tied up and traumatized. The robbers escaped with flat screen televisions, cell phones and a small amount of cash.

The robbery took place Thursday around 1:00 a.m. One of the guards was kicked in the head. The masked and hooded culprits destroyed the doors to the main office, and the principal’s and vice-principal’s offices. They also destroyed security monitors.

Despite the rampage, school went on as normal yesterday.

Last year, several classrooms at Carlton Francis Primary School were burglarized. Claridge Primary School was broken into and set on fire last year, and Gerald Cash Primary school had two break-ins within one week during 2010.
