Missing Kids Turn Up in The Bahamas

Megan, Maxwell and Sebastian Bryant

Three children who had reported missing from Montana last August turned up in The Bahamas, living on a sailboat with their father.

The boat was spotted Tuesday by border officials about 30 miles off the Florida coast attempting to return to Bahamian waters.

James Bryant was arrested on a warrant for not returning the children to their mother in Belgrade, Montana, after a Florida vacation last summer.

Belgrade police Detective Dustin Lensing told The Bozeman Daily Chronicle that authorities knew the children were with Bryant and their stepmother, Angela Bryant, on the boat.

But red tape from a difficult extradition process kept the couple from arrest.

James Bryant is creently in the Broward County Jail in Florida where he is awaiting extradition.  He will be flown back to Montana to stand trial.

His new wife Angela was arrested in Hawaii while she was visiting her family. She will be charged with parental interference.
