The people have spoken, and in a list of the top 25 beaches in the world compiled by Trip Advisor’s readers, not one of them is in The Bahamas.

In the most recent poll of top beaches by visitors to the Trip Advisor website, not one of the top twenty-five beaches in the world was located in The Bahamas.
Trip Advisor is one of the top travel websites in the world and it’s Traveler’s Choice polls are well respected.
That’s bad news for the Bahamas tourism industry, where crime, high prices and lousy service are taking a toll on hotel bookings.
No less than eight beaches in the United States were mentioned, as well as six others from the Caribbean. The rest were from more exotic destinations, but none were in The Bahamas.
Recently released travel statistics show that many other Caribbean nations have increased the number of overnight visitors in the past year, while the number of stopover visitors to The Bahamas actually dropped.
The Bahamas Ministy of Tourism has been sounding the alarm over high prices and poor service for years. Bahamians better start heeding the warning because it might not be the beaches that will be drawing tourists to The Bahamas.
