March 9th 2012 was Leadership Day at Queen’s College. For one hundred and twenty two years Queen’s College has set a standard of excellence, and Leadership Day was a testament to this.
Two years ago the school embarked on implementing Stephen Covey’s 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, using the school version-The Leader In Me. Our students have embraced the principles of “being proactive”, “beginning with the end in mind” and “thinking win-win” to name a few.
Guests from the international as well as local community were invited to visit the campus for the entire day. They toured our beautiful campus, and had the opportunity to view the Covey principles in action through all disciplines. Students showcased their leadership qualities and knowledge of the 7 Habits through simple and courteous greetings, and through their work in mathematics, literacy, art and so much more.
Leadership Day was another first for Queen’s College, and we were proud to be the first and only school in The Bahamas to have implemented The Covey Habits.
