Nassau, Bahamas – Paragon Concierge and Event Management presents T-Connection Reloaded 2012 at the Nassau Wyndham Resort Crystal Palace Ballroom on Friday, April 20th. T-Connection are a funk and disco group from Nassau, the Bahamas, who scored two major hits on the Billboard Hot 100 between 1977 and 1979.
T-Connection has performed on American Bandstand, Soul Train, Top of the Pops, TV specials with the Bee Gees, Donna Summers, Village People and others. They were especially large on the Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart, where they scored five Top 10 hits, including, “Do What You Wanna Do”, which hit #1 and was nominated for a Grammy as top dance song of the year in 1977, and “Everything Is Cool”, which peaked at #10 on the R&B chart. Group members included the brothers Theophilus “T” and Kirkwood Coakley, David Mackey, Anthony ‘Monks’ Flowers, Berkley Vanbyrd and Monty Brown.
Part proceeds from the event will be donated to the Bahamas Children’s Emergency Hostel. Originally started by the Kiwanis Club of Nassau, the non-profit Bahamas Children’s Emergency Hostel was incorporated in April 1970 and its sole purpose is to provide temporary accommodation, food, clothing, medical care and other necessities for the benefit of abandoned and neglected children, until more permanent arrangements could be made for their welfare.
T-Connection last performed together in 2011 in Nassau with rave reviews, “GREAT NIGHT! I just love love, love your music!,” said one attendee. “You guys ARE the GREATEST Bahamian group EVER! Thanks for the music!” said another fan. “T connection is one of greatest Bahamian groups of all time…Yall please, please, please, do a concert again soon…” If you missed the last sold-out reunion, you get another chance at, “Re-loaded”.
