Nassau, Bahamas – The Ministry of Public Works and Transport advises the public of the following on the New Providence Improvement and Infrastructure Project.
During this past weekend sections of Baillou Hill Road were paved between Family Guardian and Amaryllis Drive. Paving works continue in this area.
- It is anticipated that two-way traffic will be restored to the entire length of Prince Charles Drive on March 31, 2012.
- Paving of the first layer of asphalt on Market Street will be completed shortly. Under temporary traffic management, as of March 30th, two lanes of southbound traffic will be introduced to Market from Duke Street to Wulff Road. At the same time two lanes of northbound traffic will resume on Baillou Hill Road from Wulff Road to Duke Street. Motorists should adhere to posted traffic signs.
- The closure of Fox Hill Road south has been re-programmed. A new date for this closure will be given at a later date.
As usual, local access to businesses and residents will be granted in all areas of work.
