Police reported that two men were killed raising the country’s murder count to 44 for the year.
The first incident involved a 46-year-old man, who was reportedly a witness to a murder.
He was shot to death while taking a shower in his home yesterday morning.
Rolle’s death was the 43rd recorded in the country.
According to his sister, Rolle, a ‘jovial’ father of one, was also a witness to the murder of Jason Rolle, her nephew and the 43rd murder victim of 2006.
The second incident involved a 31-year-old man who was shot around 8:30 p.m. on Cambridge Lane, South Beach.
The victim, a resident of Highland Drive, Summer Haven was walking on Cambridge Lane, when he was approached by a man and shot multiple times to the body according to police.
Police said he died at the scene.
Last year this time there were 44 murders according to The Nassau Guardian’s records.
