Bahamas Hosts Caribbean Commissioners of Police Conference

The Minister of National Security Bernard Nottage, Minister of State for National Security Keith Bell, and conference host, The Bahamas’ Commissioner of Police Ellison Greenslade were among the invited guests of U.S. Charge d’Affaires John Dinkelman at Liberty Overlook May 22 for a reception to welcome the region’s top law enforcement officials who are in New Providence to attend the 27th Annual General Meeting and Conference Association of Caribbean Commissioners of Police.

Charge Dinkelman applauded the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) and its President Ellison Greenslade for coordinating the conference aimed at bolstering regional and transnational crime fighting efforts. The Charge reaffirmed the U.S. Government’s joint commitment with partner nations to ensure regional security cooperation through the Caribbean Basin Security Initiative (CBSI) framework.
