A year after David Byrne captured the hearts of Canadians everywhere for his underdog triumph on the Golf Channel’s Big Break, Windsor’s Natalia Ghilzon debuts with a preview show for the 17th season tonight at 9 p.m.
While this show is like a televised meet-and-greet with the 12 female golfers and an outline of the stakes they’re playing for, the season’s first full competitive episode of Big Break Atlantis, complete with those nail-biting elimination rounds, is scheduled for Monday, May 14.
Filming at the posh Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas wrapped up this past February.
“I’m excited and I’m wondering what I’m going to look like on TV,” the 21-year-old Ghilzon said.
Byrne, who just finished playing in his first PGA Tour event courtesy of his Big Break win, recommended Ghilzon to the show’s producers.
