Nassau, Bahamas – The Bahamas Humane Society (BHS) Volunteer Evening will be held this Thursday, June 28th, at Green Parrot, Harbourside. If you are looking for ways to help the BHS and have some time to spare, please come out and learn about the options available.
Summer Camp has begun, and the children are enjoying themselves learning about and interacting with the animals. The weather has been perfect for our dog walks. There’s still room in future weeks if you’d like to register. The Summer Camp is a great way for children ages 6 to 12 to have some hands-on time with puppies and kittens, walk some dogs, and learn about animals in general. Camp began June 25th and runs for six weeks. Participants can sign up for a week at a time or for many weeks. Registration is $125 per week and includes a t-shirt. Space is limited so please register now. Camp runs from 9 a.m. to noon each day. Campers are asked to bring a snack and drink for themselves, and, if possible, a leash and towel for walking and bathing. Treats for the animals (vegetables and fruits for the donkeys, goat and ponies, biscuits for the dogs) are always welcome.
If you aren’t already a BHS member, please consider becoming one. Most of the Bahamas Humane Society‘s funding comes through donations and memberships. Apply now (134KB doc).
