Governor-General presents Bahamian 3D fabricated Coat of Arms to Mr. Hervis Bain on behalf of The One Bahamas Foundation celebrating that organisation’s twentieth year anniversary.
The Governor-General Sir Arthur Foulkes presents a full three-dimensional replica of the nation’s coat of arms to Mr. Hervis Bain in recognition for his involvement in its original design.
True 3-dimensional contoured shapes are a specialty of The Sign Man Co., Ltd. a Bahamian sign design and fabrication company.
Mr. Bain provided significant input to the final design of the nation’s major trademark — the Coat of Arms of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas. Other great Bahamians involved were A.D. Hanna, Mr. Harold A. Munnings and Mr. Baltron Bethel.
Also in attendance at the presentation were Sir Orville Turnquest, Sir Durward Knowles and Mr. Algernon Allen all representing the One Bahamas Foundation along with Mr. Peter Bates, general manager of the Sign Man Co., Ltd.
The One Bahamas Foundation is organising the nation-wide “Walk for Unity ion the Community” on Saturday 17 November, 2012. Everyone living in The Bahamas is urged to show their full support of the ideals of different peoples living together in harmony.
