Join The Bahamas Humane Society next Friday, September 21st at 6 p.m. at the New Providence Community Centre on Blake Road to see the photos from its recent BHS 2012 Fine Image Summer Fun Photography Contest and learn who the winners are.
On Thursday, September 20th, the next Operation Potcake planning meeting will be held at 6 p.m. at the BHS Shelter. Please come out and join the BHS as they plan this massive spay and neuter campaign to be held in January 2013. Questions about Operation Potcake can be emailed to potcake2013 at gmail.com.
The Bahamas Humane Society will be holding some Camp Days in October. The first day will be Monday October 15th, and the second Wednesday, October 31st. Camp is from 9 a.m. to noon, and the cost is $30 per day. Please register early so as to avoid disappointment. (A minimum of 5 campers is required each day or camp will not be held.) Campers should bring a snack and drink as well as a leash and old dog towel if possible as we will be walking and bathing dogs and puppies. The ponies and donkeys, chickens and duck also appreciate treats of carrots and bread.
In the Return of the Candlelight Ball, under Sir Arthur Foulkes, The Bahamas Humane Society requests the pleasure of your company for a romantic evening of glamour and elegance. Music by The Ralph Munnings Band. Dress: Formal and deliciously 50’s. Tickets are $275 per person and a limited number of junior tickets (30 and under) are available for $175. The Ball will be held Friday, November 9th in the Crown Ballroom at Atlantis, Paradise Island. Cocktails at 7:15 p.m.
