A fascinating collection of underwater photographs has captured pro-swimmers playfully ‘dancing’ with dolphins off the coast of the Bahamas.
Photographer Doug Perrine snapped the athletes as they free-dived to depths of 30ft to interact with the adorable mammals.
Holding their breath for up to four minutes, the swimmers came nose-to-nose with the energetic pod of spotted dolphins near Grand Bahama Island in the Caribbean.
But it wasn’t all fun and games.
The swimmers, who are champions on the competitive swimming circuit, were attempting to learn new techniques from their flippered friends that may improve their chances of winning gold.
