Distinguished keynote speakers for the 2012 9th Annual International Business EXPO to be held Thursday, October 4 in Lauderhill, FL, include U.S. State Department Deputy Director José Santacana, and Jerry C. Butler, a leading expert in Caribbean project investment opportunities.
José Santacana has served for 13 years as an American diplomat at postings in Latin America, Africa, and Europe. He just finished a year working as a foreign policy adviser to Senator Robert Menendez, (D-NJ), focusing on Latin American issues. Currently, he is working as the Deputy Director of the Office of Economic Policy and Summit Coordination in the State Department’s Bureau of Western Hemisphere Affairs, focusing on the implementation of a number of White House economic initiatives agreed to at the recent Summit of the Americas in Cartagena, Colombia.
Jerry C Butler currently serves as the Executive Director and CEO of Global Equity Consultants Ltd., a Bahamas firm managing a network of Caribbean bankers, lawyers, and accountants specializing in identifying and executing Caribbean project investment opportunities. He is the founding Chairman of CREF and Board member of the Latin American Caribbean Council on Renewable Energy (LAC – ACORE).
The Expo is hosted by the Lauderhill Regional Chamber of Commerce (LRCC) in partnership with the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention and Visitor’s Bureau, and the Miami Broward One Carnival Host Committee. Davie-based event company, Unique Productions handles logistics.
On Wednesday, October 3, there will be a sponsors and dignitaries VIP reception. On Thursday, October 4, activities include the Floor Trade Show; Educational Sessions; International Trade Breakfast; Luncheon; VIP Reception; and Taste of Lauderhill. Additional events to follow throughout the weekend.
