Free National Movement (FNM) Leader Dr. Hubert Minnis criticized the decision of Prime Minister Perry Christie to keep National Insurance Board (NIB) Chairman Gregory Moss in his post.
Christie said the status quo at NIB will remain pending the completion of an independent audit into NIB’s accounts. He said he met with Moss on Monday to discuss matters related to NIB.
“…[Moss] should step down or be dismissed,”he insisted. “That’s the honorable thing to do and that should have been the position of the prime minister. But the Bahamian public will judge that.”
NIB Director Algernon Cargill is suing Moss and NIB alleging defamation, wrongful and unfair dismissal and breach of the Data Protection Act.
