On Saturday December 1st, a group of High School students from Governor’s Harbour visited the National Art Gallery of the Bahamas in Nassau to see their digital photographs on display.
The 36 photographs, taken by 18 students at the Haynes Library Summer Programme 2011, have inspired a new educational initiative of NAGB called “Art Children of the Bahamas” – an opportunity for Family Islanders to showcase their work at the gallery to promote talent and mentor their passion for the arts.
The collection made its debut in Nassau on the 15th November at the opening of the NAGB sixth exhibition – NE6 – and occupies the Project Space downstairs along with the Permanent Exhibition. The photographs were also very well received at a one day exhibition at the Haynes Library in February this year
